It has been ten years since the Kedarnath disaster. But still, 3183 people are missing, whose no clue has been found. For the past years, rescue campaigns were conducted at the government level to search for these people. During this, 703 skeletons were found. At the same time, no plan has been able to land on the ground regarding the security and displacement of the affected villages.




Due to the Kedarnath disaster of June 16-17, 2013, not only Kedarpuri but the geography of towns from Gaurikund to Sonprayag, Vijayanagar, etc. had been changed. On the other hand, thousands of pilgrims had become the grass of death in Kedarnath.

According to the Rudraprayag police, 1840 FIRs were received from the local, state, and other states regarding the search for the missing people in the Kedarnath disaster. After investigation, the investigation was started considering 1256 FIRs as correct.
703 skeletons recovered
Apart from this, the missing 3886 people were also registered. During the search, 703 skeletons were recovered. These skeletons were found on the Gaurikund-Kedarnath, Kedarnath-Triyuginarayan, Chaumasi-Kedarnath, and Kedarnath-Vasukital treks.

Along with this, 11 dead bodies were also found by the police during the disaster, which was identified. But even today no trace of 3183 missing people has been found.
