Jaipur: A family of four, including a six-month-old baby girl, were brutally murdered last night and their bodies were set ablaze in the courtyard of their home in the village of Osian, Rajasthan, approximately 50 kilometers from Jodhpur.
According to authorities, a 19-year-old guy related to the family is suspected of being responsible for the killings and has been detained.
The horrible act prompted the opposition BJP to launch a savage attack on the Ashok Gehlot administration months before the Assembly elections. The incident occurred in Jodhpur, the Chief Minister's home district, the BJP has also emphasized.
Police report that the crime happened in Chaurai village last night. When neighbors observed smoke pouring from Punaram's (55), home, they called the police. They discovered Punaram, his wife Bhanwri (50), and their daughter-in-law Dhapu burned dead in the courtyard after entering the family's house. The remnants of Dhapu's six-month-old daughter lay in a horrible black mass next to her body.
It is known that farming was the family's primary source of revenue.
According to the police, the perpetrator appeared to have killed the four by slicing their necks before dragging their bodies outside and setting them ablaze. According to authorities, who added that they are looking into all possibilities, the killings may result from personal animosity.
