The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Civil Services preliminary examination result for 2023. Candidates can see the results at upsc.gov.in, the official website.
The preliminary exam was held on May 28 this year. The commission has recommended 14624 applicants in total. Those who have qualified will now show up for the mains, which begin on September 15. The commission also released the results of the India Forest Services test together with the Civil Services results.
These candidates' candidatures are tentative. All of these candidates must reapply in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023, in compliance with the examination's rules. In due course, the dates and crucial instructions for completing the DAF-I and submitting it will be released.
Eligible candidates are permitted six attempts at the CSE. However, candidates belonging to SC and ST category are permitted unlimited attempts while OBC candidates can give nine attempts. PwBD candidates belonging to general and EWS category are also permitted for nine attempts.
