On Friday, June 16, 'Adipurush' was released in theatres, and soon after, well-known film reviewer Taran Adarsh tweeted his displeasure with the eagerly anticipated picture.

He wrote, "One-word review: Disappointing," in a tweet. 1.5 out of 5 stars. Adipurush is a major letdown. simply falls short of the enormous expectations...Despite having a dream cast and a sizable budget, director OmRaut makes a tremendous mess of things. #AdipurushReview.”

The movie, which reportedly cost 700 crores to produce, is based on the Hindu epic "Ramayana." Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Prabhas play the leading roles in it. The film was filmed in both Hindi and Telugu and is produced by T-Series.
