 He was well-known for his parts in the Oscar-winning movie RRR and died on Sunday in Italy.



Ray Stevenson, a Northern Irish actor most known for his roles as Volstagg in the Thor movie, the evil British governor in RRR, and Ahsoka in the future Star Wars series, has passed away at the age of 58.


Stevenson passed away on Sunday, four days before his birthday, according to his representatives. While filming the movie Cassino in Ischia, the Italian newspaper La Repubblica stated that he had been hospitalized on the island of Ischia due to an unexpected illness.

Ray Stevenson, a multi-talented actor who made an enduring impression with his talent and unforgettable performances, is mourned by the film and television community.





RRR director SS Rajamouli said in his homage on Tuesday, " Just can't believe this news. Ray brought so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace.

Almost 30 years ago, remarked Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis on Twitter, who co-starred with Stevenson in the children's television movie Some Kind of Life.
