Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, accused investigating agencies of filing fraudulent affidavits against jailed AAP leader Manish Sisodia the day after he was called to testify by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. Kejriwal alleged that "they are torturing people to testify against Sisodia."

Today's AAP statement that "PM Modi wants to silence Kejriwal who is the only leader to raise corruption issues" was directed at the BJP-led Central government."Why was Delhi's chief minister Arvind Kejriwal called in by the CBI? In his or any other AAP leader's house or office, not a single penny of corruptly obtained money has ever been discovered, according to Atishi. While this was going on, the BJP claimed that the law was simply following its natural course and that the Chief Minister was not only complicit in the scandal but also its "mastermind."

More than a month after former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia was taken into custody in connection with this investigation, the CBI has summoned the AAP leader. Sisodia is now being held in Tihar Jail after being taken into custody by the CBI on February 26. Neither the CBI nor the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has mentioned Kejriwal in their respective cases and brought up the excise policy.
